Rugby Kick Off

• Creator of rugbykickoff.com, showing all the required match day info for rugby across the world.
• Developed in Python using Django. Data gathered using Selenium, Requests and BS4. Hosted using PythonAnywhere.
• Database includes detailed info for all upcoming matches and results for all professional and international matches ever played.
• Total of 600,000 users and 1.5 million page views since launch in December 2020.

Rugby On This Day

• Creator of @RugbyOnThisDay Twitter bot.
• Twice a day it will tweet the results of a professional or international rugby match to have happended on the current day in the past 20 years. It’s loaded with enough results to tweet for the next 58 years.
• Deployed on Google Cloud Run via GitHub actions. Results data and a tweet log is stored in BigQuery.
• Cloud Run service is invoked using Cloud Scheduler.

Social Media Automation

• Various bots created for Reddit, Discord and Twitter to maximise engagement and site traffic for rugbykickoff.com enhancing advertising and affiliate marketing revenue.
• Data scraped from Twitter for sentiment analysis. Used in criminology research paper for an Assistant Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada.
